I took an interest in construction at an early age because my father was a civil engineer. He developed his own practice and I worked with him in various subordinate capacities learning land surveying, permitting and fundamentals of civil engineering. While receiving my bachelor in science degree at the University of Massachusetts, I took a number of part time construction jobs in the field such as ditch digging for a gas company contractor, pulling cables for the then new cable TV industry, and supervising construction for the Texas Department of Transportation. Apon graduating, I spent 2 years in Yemen as a Peace Corps volunteer as part of an earthquake reconstruction mission. The last 30 years has been varying capacities of engineering and planning in the LA area doing mostly tenent improvement and residual remodels. Currently I am focusing on the LA Soft Story Retrofit Program doing the strutural plans and calculations. Over the years I have honed in and perfected my trade and pride myself in serving Los Angeles and the surrounding areas.
